If you want to manage your establishments on Facebook as best you can, it is vital that you create a Places structure.

What is a Places structure?

A Places structure is like a tree structure showing your Facebook Places pages in relation to your Brand page.
A good Places structure therefore requires all of the Places pages (the ‘child’ pages) representing your establishments to be linked to the Brand page (the ‘parent’ page).

Why should I optimise my Places structure?

There are many benefits to having a good Places structure, including the following:

  • The ability to manage all Places pages via one central interface

  • Places pages can be accessed via the Brand page (see image below)

  • The sharing of Brand page posts on Places pages

  • Central admin management

  • The ability to manage cover and profile photos via the Brand page

  • Places pages are verified automatically if the brand page has also been verified

  • Access to the Facebook Ads ‘point-of-sale visit’ target

  • Access to management features via API and therefore via Partoo

How to create a good Places structure

Follow these steps to create a Places structure:

1. Request access to the Places feature via the Facebook Business Manager. You will then be asked to delete the address from your brand page, and you will have to accept in order to continue

2. Go into Business Manager and click on ‘Add Locations’ in the top right-hand corner

3. You can then import a file containing several establishments, create establishments manually or migrate pages for which you are an admin

It can be very difficult to manage these Places pages efficiently without an appropriate solution.
Luckily, Partoo can help you with this. Click on the button below to learn more!
